Bedroom decor Inspiration

Good afternoon! As illustrated by the title of this blog post, I will be hopefully offering some bedroom decor inspiration! I love using the website polyvore to create awesome decor by finding the cutest individual items and creating a theme (This is not a sponsored blog post, I just love the website!). I have created Four styles that are all different and hopefully offer you some bedroom decor inspiration. So here we go!

I really love this decor style mixing old Moroccan charms with a modern twist. The bold prints and textures accompanied by the green and yellow color pops look really great. I am a massive fan of these candle sticks with a slight brassy look to them. This style is becoming increasingly popular and I feel it should be as there a total classic piece. The statement headboard is great piece with this theme as it stand out against the plain walls and creates a statement moroccan feel to the room. And, who doesn't love an elephant candle?

Completely different to the previous style, this one I have focused on a calm sleek style. I love beach theme nautical rooms but I wanted to create something that wasn't so obvious filled with shells and anchors. So I pieced the beach theme with a slash of pink. I love the beautiful statement beach photo as it is so calming. The color pops of pink with the wall art an the accent on the cushion helps create more of an edge to the typical beach room. Whereas the blue wicker basted ocean wall art helps channel those beach vibes. 'Good vibes only!'

Again, something completely different. I love this look, I think it is really contemporary and bold. I'm not sure I am brave enough to go for the grey walls in my own bedroom but I think it does create a fab statement. Paired with the Yellow color splashes within the wall art and the cushion. I love the brass lighting, I think it adds another edge to the look and keeps with the yellowy color theme.

And finally, my forth look is definitely a little bit playful. Again I have created a style with the colors pink and blue but in more of a playful style. I love the quirky features such as the giraffe lamp and the mustache wall art. They bring some fun to the look. The ombre curtains are really a must have they tie up the colours really well and is an interetsing piece without having to be a bold print. I really like the velvet cushions they bring some texture to the theme.

So that's all four style I came up with today! I am hoping to do a blog post on my room soon (I call it the Harry Potter room, as it is so small). I hope you have enjoyed viewing my blog today and it has in some way helped inspire different decor ideas!

Where is the summer?

I haven't blogged in a long while as I have been sooo super busy with college and work...Yawn. But college is finished now which allows me to have a bit more spare time to do what I enjoy, Blogging.

Firstly, where is the summer this year? The past few years our British summer hasn't been to shabby but this year it has been a complete disaster. Its nearly July and I could possibly count how many nice hot days we have had on one hand. Hopefully this will change as we go into July! Hows your summers been so far? I'm looking forward to a lovely week off of work in July and I want to address my pale ghostly skin and wack up a tan (sun please oblige).

I thought I would share some summery pictures just to get us all back into the swing of things.

'Ey Up' Yorkshire Scenery

Ey up! (Hello), I thought I would do a blog post of some of the photos I have taken in Yorkshire. I love visiting my family in Yorkshire and not only is it good to catch up with family, but also the scenery is so beautiful I just couldn't stop myself from taking lots of photographs!

3 ways to document your summer memories!

1. I really love this cute little notebook, I think its great if you want to carry your book around with you and document your summer as you go. You can also stick in small pictures and keepsakes to document your summer. I brought this one at Wilkinson's.

2. This is another great option, I absolutely love this scrapbook type journal from The Range. Every page is quirky with great back grounds.

It even has little plastic wallets on some of the pages which would be great for train tickets or postcards from the different places you visit!

It even comes with this cute pen and glue duo!

3. The most basic and good old fashioned way of documenting your summer is to keep a diary where you can write what you have got up to on each individual day. The only problem with this option is there's no room for photographs and keep sakes to be stuck onto the page.
